  • Fistral Beach: Fistral beach is one of the top surf spots in Newquay, with big swells, cracking barrels and peaks this is a great spot for any beginner surfer to learn the ropes. Fistral beach is also home to a number of top surf schools, so head down to Fistral beach and get in some pro lessons before hitting the surf. Remember though, if Fistral doesn't suit your tastes, there are a number of other great beaches within a stone's throw of each other, from Porth, Lusty Glazem, Tolcarne and Towan there is a number of different surf spots to explore and enjoy.
  • Blue Reef Aquarium: Situated in the centre of Newquay just off Towan beach, the Blue Reef Aquarium is a fun packed day for the whole family. The aquarium is home to giant crabs, seahorses, tropical sharks and an underwater tunnel which gives you exceptional views of various local marine species. With both family passes and discounts for children under 14 years old, the Blue Reef Aquarium is a great day out and one not to be missed.
  • South West Coast Path: This path offers an excellent hiking experience and runs 630 miles from Minehead in Somerset to Poole in Dorset. There is a beautiful array of different scenery from sandy beaches to stunning cliff edges and a host of different historic villages, hamlets and nature reserves, for the keen hiker this is a trek not to be missed.
Airport Info

Newquay Cornwall airport is the largest commercial airport in Cornwall and is situated 5 miles northeast of Newquay. Originally an RAF terminal, Newquay Cornwall airport has now been expanded by 20% and can handle around 700,000 passengers per year. In 2008, a new arrivals and baggage reclaim area was added to the airport, adapting Newquay Airport into a hub for both domestic and international flights.

Location
Newquay Cornwall airport is located 4.6 miles northeast of Newquay on the Cornish coastline.

Facilities
The airport has various facilities including the Horizons Cafe Bar & Restaurant which serves a selection of hot and cold beverages, light meals, sandwiches and snacks. The cafe also sells newspapers and magazines which can be taken onboard your flight. As well as this Newquay Cornwall airport has a new Executive Lounge which is available to Southwest Business Plus and Flybe Economy Plus passengers, serving light refreshments, hot and cold drinks as well as free Wi-Fi and Television.

To and from the airport

By Taxi

By Bus
There is a dedicated bus stop on the west side of the terminal building that offers regular services into the centre of Newquay. The bus Service number is 556 which travels from Padstow to Newquay, the first service leaves Newquay Cornwall airport at 06:19 with the last service leaving the airport at 19:27 (buses are available once an hour at 27 minutes past the hour).

By Train
There are no direct train links to Newquay Cornwall airport, however it is possible to get a train into Newquay centre and then pick up a taxi or bus link straight to the airport.

By Car
The airport can be accessed from the A3050 off of the A39 if travelling from north of Newquay. For travellers coming from Newquay itself, take the A3050 north for around 5 miles until you see signs for the airport.
